I call myself defective.

My neurodiverse brain does not understand people, but I understand power, and power comes from status, from becoming the Capo dei Capi of the Cosa Nostra and the Outfit.

I did not, however, anticipate that becoming Capo would require the one thing I never wanted—a wife—and worse, the woman I chose is chaotic, angry, overly emotional, and determined to disrupt the world.

I feel everything. I feel for myself, for everyone around me, but most of all, I feel the deep-rooted misogyny breaking the women in the Famiglia—and I want to destroy it.

Women deserve more, and I was fighting hard for it until my father forced me into an arranged marriage with our new, dangerous, unemotional Capo. He is shrouded in dark secrets, and I need to discover what his past is hiding before he destroys my fight.
